Next December, the BioHYBRITE Doctoral Network will mark an important milestone with its very first Winter School & Meet-up, bringing together all Principal Investigators and Doctoral Candidates for the first time since the network was established. The event will take place from 7–11 December 2026 at LMU in Munich, Germany, providing a unique opportunity to strengthen collaborations and build the foundations for future joint research.
Designed as both a scientific training and networking event, the programme combines lectures, laboratories, and interdisciplinary exchange. Our Doctoral Candidates will benefit from advanced scientific training delivered in collaboration with the 9th European Workshop on Advanced Fluorescence Methods, featuring lectures by internationally recognised experts and hands-on sessions in super-resolution microscopy.
A central part of the programme will be the project presentations, where all Doctoral Candidates and Supervisors will present their research and explore synergies across the BioHYBRITE projects. As this is the first occasion for the entire consortium to meet in person, these sessions will play a key role in fostering collaboration across institutions.
Beyond scientific research, attendees will participate in transferable skills training, including Good Scientific Practice and Time & Project Management, equipping early-stage researchers with essential skills for successful scientific careers. The programme also includes an Introduction to Intellectual Property, with contributions from industry experts and patent attorneys covering the fundamentals of protecting and translating scientific innovation.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Munich for what promises to be an inspiring week of science, learning, and collaboration!
