Designing Atomically Defined Components: the Molecular Foundry
This work package is the molecular foundry for DNA, RNA and protein nanotechnology to develop the atomically defined molecular components such as aptamers, proteins, DNA origami and combinations thereof that can then be used in their interaction with complex biological systems. It also comprises the preparation of these building blocks and nanoagents to interact and exert function with complex biomolecular environments, e.g. by silicification of double-stranded parts.
